Take a look at the photo report from the 3D printer fair. 3D printing is a rapidly growing industry. In the presented devices, "printing" takes place thanks to a heated Extruder nozzle, and a cartridge of ABS PLA plastic varieties - the filament - flowing through it. The 3D printing technique is an incremental technology - the production of a component is achieved by applying successive layers of filament. A given object has to be designed with the use of appropriate software, e.g. Cura, and then generate a programme code understandable for the printer - after sending the code to the printer, the printing takes place automatically.
